Project Management

If a project is so large as to not reasonably be measured in weeks (at least not initially) - then we are likely to look to break the project into a number of discrete phases (interim deliverables). In general, we like project phases to be between 2 and 12 weeks in duration. If we can’t produce meaningful output which is usable/has value within 12 weeks then something is generally wrong. Depending on project size, complexity and technical challenges - a phase may involve anything from single developer to a team of 2-5 working together.

We don’t do teams of more than 5 (they don’t work). Each team will always have a team lead - who may also be responsible for a portion of the development but who will principally be involved in breaking the work into weekly sized chunks for each developer and managing the interfaces/interactions.
